Our mission is to provide a safe community for the City of Sallisaw. Our goal is to rid the community of crime through professional police work and prevent crime through proper education of our youth and community. Educational programs that make our community more aware of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse will help us reach our goal. Programs that educate children and parents of the new technological dangers through Internet use are also important. Only through knowledge of a better way can we make Sallisaw a better community. Our goal is to promote community pride through our police department. Community involvement, including families, schools, and neighborhood support, will increase the awareness of knowledge necessary to make Sallisaw a safe community.
